Seeking Applications Development Lead
Responsible for providing technical leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of application developers in support of development operations. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality development & technical solutions while ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of software development principles and practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for technical decisions and management of development solutions while providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support throughout the software development process.
• Collaborate with project managers, Business Relationship Managers, and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
• Participate in project planning and estimation activities, ensuring realistic and achievable goals are set for the team.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, assisting with complex problem-solving and decision-making.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software development methodologies, and recommend improvements to enhance team performance and productivity.
• Identify and address technical challenges, proactively mitigating risks and resolving issues to ensure project success.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate integration, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring seamless software delivery.
Qualifications or Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in software development, with a focus on managing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools, such as Trello and DevOps.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in priorities, follow project schedules, meet established deadlines, and proactively communicate risks.
